For private owners aligning headlights is something most tend not to think about.  Before buying a used Toyota Rav4 from used car sale in your town you can have a mechanic look over everything including the headlight alignment.  You can also wait until you purchase the Japanese used car to have it done.  In either case, the alignment of the lights helps the drivers around you.
